The Church Organ

The Andresen Organ 1906

The first organ in Hvirring Church første was build in 1906 by Joh. P. Andresen & Co., Ringkøbing according to Vejle Amts Folkeblad (newspaper) 22. March 1967 . According to information from the church the organ had six stops.

The Marcussen Organ 1967 is build in 1967 by Marcussen & Son, Åbenrå.

In letters concerning the Marcussen Organ's purchase it stats in 1962 that the Andresen organ needs repair, due to 'moths in the membrane' and the bellow is worn.  This untechnical description of the organ's condition seems to show that it had pheumatic action.

The Organ was placed on a podium in the tower room.

In connection with the purchase of the Marcussen-Organ in 1967 it was concidered to despose of the Andresen-organ to another church, but the organ building dissuaded this.
