| Our beloved, Allen B Rudy, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2000 at the age
of 77.
Born June 3, 1923 to Hazel Back and Orson Rudy in Salt Lake City. He graduated from South High. He served in the U.S. Navy as a Radar Technician during World War II, Graduated from the U of U in 1948 in Mechanical Engineering. For 35 years he was employed as an engineer for Utah Power & Light company where he made many lifelong friends. He married G. Bernice Jensen on December 2, 1953 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They were blessed with three daughters. He lived in the East Millcreek area for 47 years and was a good friend to all who knew him. He was a faithful member of the LDS Church all his life serving in various callings. He especially enjoyed the beauties of nature with its birds and wildlife. He was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather, who loved being with his family. He filled their lives with joy, service, kindness and love. Survived by daughters, Debbie (Jim) Youngberg and Kim (Dee) Gardiner; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife, daughter, Kathy (Chris) West, and brother, Jack R Rudy. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, Thurs., Dec. 21, 2000 in the East Millcreek 11th Ward Chapel, 2702 E. Evergreen Avenue (3435 South). Family and friends may call from 6-8 p.m. at the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive on Wed. evening and at the ward from 10:45-11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park (Olympus Section). |
