Douglas S. Burt, 68, passed away February 5, 1995, after a long and difficult struggle.

He was born December 2, 1926, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Thomas Stevenson and Theresa Fife Burt. He married JoAnn Jensen of Salt Lake City, Utah on April 10, 1944. The marriage was solemnized in the Jordan River LDS Temple.

Doug spent most of his childhood in Park City where he attended Park City High School, playing both championship football and basketball. An avid sportsman, Doug also enjoyed hunting and fishing with family and friends. He had a lifelong love of his labradors and he will be missed by many who shared his fishing and hunting trips.

Survivors include his wife, JoAnn; children, Dan Burt (ValJean), Dianne Williams (Clyde), and Dr. Steven J. Burt (Tammy); his grandchildren, Danyel, Kristin, Ryan, Jennifer, James, Shannon, Stephanie, David and Jordan; brothers, Dean Burt, Don Burt, Wayne Burt; and sister, Kathleen Johnson.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 8, 1995 at 11 a.m. in the Valley View 3rd Ward, 4101 South 1925 East. Friends may call at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive, on Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.

His deepest love and devotion was to his wife, children and grandchildren. He is deeply loved and will be missed by both family and friends. "Peace on your journey -- We Love You."
