| Marvin Angus Jensen, age 74,
passed away peacefully May 4, 1994, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Marvin was born July 23, 1919, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Hyrum Angus and Mary Adell Wright Jensen. He married Ella Ackley on June 7, 1941, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple; she preceded him in death on September 5, 1975. Marvin then married Jean Wagner Wright on May 20, 1976 at Elko, Nevada. A builder/carpenter by trade, he was responsible for many of the residential and commercial buildings throughout Salt Lake City. Member of the Utah Carpenter and Cement Mason's Union. Active High Priest in the LDS Church, Marvin held many positions of church service throughout his life. He enjoyed bowling and golfing, and was associated with several leagues in the Salt Lake City area. Marvin also enjoyed traveling, and especially to the family cabin in Island Park, Idaho. Survived by his wife Jean; a son Marvin Arthur (and Gillian) Jensen; a daughter, Claudia Jensen; and two step-sons, Don Hal Wright, all above from Salt Lake City and Dr. Randy B. (and Helen) Wright, Idaho Falls, Idaho; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren Also surviving are three sisters , Marjorie (and Bill) Jensen, Beth Adell (and Dick) Strong, Marilyn (and John) Kennedy; and a sister-in-law, Beth Jensen, all from Salt Lake City, Preceded in death by a brother, ``Shag'' Jensen. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 7, 1994, 12 noon, at the Holbrook Funeral Chapel, 3251 So. 2300 East, Salt Lake City, Utah where friends may call before the service, starting at 10:30 am. Interment: Larkin Sunset Gardens of the Valley. Funeral Directors: The Holbrook Funeral Chapel. |
