| Our dear and loved husband and dad, died
December 23, l99l, in Salt Lake City, of complications from Myotonic Dystrophy. Born
February 6, l933, in Salt Lake City to Joseph Mead and Gertrude Grayson Jensen. Married
Jonna K. Jensen, June 30, l96l, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Graduated, East High and
University of Utah, majoring in Education. He taught in Daggett, Granite, and Davis
Districts where he enjoyed his association with young people. Though his life was
shortened and complicated by illness, he loved life. He shall be missed by friends and
family. Lifelong member of the LDS Church. Served a mission to Denmark l953-56, in Elders
quorum presidency, as teaching development instructor and as High Priest. Survived by his
wife, Jonna; three sons, Joseph, Paul and Steven; one daughter, Michelle; one brother,
Mead LeRoy Jensen; and one sister, Mrs. Allen (Bernice) Rudy, all of Salt Lake City. The family would like to thank the nurses in the MICC Unit and on the 4th North floor of the University Hospital for their compassionate care; and to his family physician and the staff of the Creekside Home Health Services, who helped provide care and love for him in the last months of his life. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 28, 1991, l2 noon, in the Garden Heights Ward, 2220 East Fisher Lane (2935 South), where friends may call 30 minutes prior to services. Interment at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park under the direction of Larkin Mortuary. |
