Kathy Gayle Rudy West, 43, passed away July 15, 1998 in Salt Lake City, Utah after a two month illness.

Born January 17, 1955 in Salt Lake City to Allen B. Rudy and Bernice Jensen Rudy. Married Christopher D. West on June 24, 1977 in the Salt Lake Temple. Graduated from Skyline High School and from the University of Utah College of Nursing. Volunteered two days a week for thirteen years for Children with Special Health Care Needs, Utah Department of Health. Member LDS Church, East Millcreek 11th Ward. Served in the Primary for many years, as well as in many other callings.

Kathy was a devoted wife and mother. She will be greatly missed, but we have faith that we will have the joy of her companionship again. Her family appreciates the kindness of many friends and neighbors.

Survived by her husband, Chris; son, Scott; father; and sisters, Debra (James) Youngberg, and Kim (Dee) Gardiner. Preceded in death by her mother.

Funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Monday, July 20, 1998 in the East Millcreek 11th Ward Chapel, 2702 Evergreen Avenue. Family and friends may call at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive, on Sunday July 19, 1998 from 5-7 p.m. and at the church on Monday from 10:45-11:45 a.m. prior to service. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
