Mary Elizabeth Jensen James, age 94, died July 12, 1994, in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Born November 16, 1899, in Salt Lake City, to Hyrum Julius and Christine Bodell Hansen Jensen. Married Alvin John
James, December 10, 1919, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died December 28, 1984. Member of the DUP, Bodell Hansen Chapter and faithful member of the Relief Society.

Mary was a devoted wife and mother. She and "Gramps" shared 65 wonderful years together. Her family was her life. She made every day special for her children and grandchildren. She always gathered the family together on holidays for fun and food, at the cabin or her home. She spent many happy hours reading to the grandchildren and playing games. She always had a smile and a good word for everyone. She filled her world with love.

Survived by children, A. Boyd (Edith)
James, H. Mervyn (Marlene) James, Aline (Charles) Gehrke; son-in-law, Raymond L. Stahl; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two brothers, Joseph S. Jensen, and Melvin H. Jensen. Preceded in death by daughter Yvonne Stahl, brothers, Royal H. and H. Angus, sister, Melvina Sheets.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 18, 1 p.m., Grant 4th Ward, 1111 East Charlton Avenue (2815 South). Friends may call at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Sunday, 6-8 p.m., and at the ward Monday, one hour prior to services. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
