Søren married Elna Petersen with whom he made his
honeymoon trip by pulling a hand-cart across the plains. |

| Søren lived in Forest Dale Ward, Salt Lake county, Utah and found employment in Salt Lake City and after a few years commenced work at his trade as a carpenter on the Tabernacle. | ||

| 1867 | 9th March he married Christina Rasmusdatter. | |
| 1868 | 8th April he married Karen Caroline Juliusdatter. | |
| 1876 - 1878 | in Denmark - Branch President of the
Mission at Aarhus, Denmark, and later revived missionary labours very successfully on the
island of Bornholm. Here he met Ane Johanne Katrine Jensdatter who was the choir leader for the mission services. They married on the 12th September 1878. |

| 1885 | Moved to St. John, Arizona, during the anti-polygamy raid, where he spent two years | |
| 1887 | Moved to Mancos, Colorado, where he spent 23 years and engaged in ranging on a large scale. | |
| The Mancos valley was settled by
ranching families in the early 1880's In 1891 the Rio Grande Southern Railroad reached Mancos on its way to the silver mines of Telluride and Rico. Mancos, boomed, becoming a thriving commercial center based on lumber, cattle, and produce grown in the Montezuma valley. Mancos is a quiet town today nestled into one of the most beautiful valleys in the state.

| 1917 | Søren died on the 27th April 1917. By his five wives he became the father of 25 children, sixteen of whom survived childhood. When he died he was survived by two wives, sixteen children, to grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. He was buried at Salt Lake City Cemetery. Grave Location: J-20-12-1-S2 E |
